Members Section Rationale and FAQ
Dear Members
I have set up a "google group" for members of Inverness Rowing Club.
Why? You may ask.
Well, the reasons are as follows.
- ONE email address sends correspondence to every registered member.
NOTE - the from field must be a registered email address - this eliminates Spam, and will make it less likely that correspondence disappears into the ether.
- emails can be read and sent via the website - hence no abuse of work email. (tenon, forestry commission, Highland health board, Morrisons etc..)
- Any member can post information to this part of the site. Thus reducing my monopoly over the website, and decreasing the time taken to get information out.
There may very well be other benefits - I believe there is a calendar etc... which may be of use, and photo sharing stuff... but we'll see how this develops.
